A Church In Southern Nigeria Was Robbed And Burned Down

A church in Edo State, Nigeria was burned down this past week. The Kings Tabernacle International Church, was found on fire by some it members, and everything inside was destroyed. The Pastor of the church, Apostle Lucky Eni, believes that this was the work of young thieves. He believes that they broke into the church, stole some of the items that were there and then set fire to the building before leaving. The local authorities have confirmed the incident and are looking to find the suspects. 

 

2017-10-05 Nigeria (ITR) Pastor of the Church, Apostle Lucky Eni alleged that the church was set on fire after buglers invaded and removed some items.

Burnt roof, drum set, PVC, electric wires, wall clock, light fittings ashes of completely burnt pulpit and alter rug littered the scene of the incident with smoke still billowing out from the burnt items.

Sympathizers and members of the church gathered watching helplessly as the fire had already burnt down a part of the church completely.

Pastor of the Church, Apostle Lucky Eni said he was shocked to receive a call from someone at about six am informing him that the church was on fire even when the church is not connected to the national grid and no service held the previous night.

He alleged that the church was set on fire by some hoodlums who he discovered have looted some of the church’s property and appealed for assistance.

Wife of the senior Pastor, Pastor Itohan Eni and Some members of the church, who blamed the incident on lack of security in the area called on security agencies in the state to beef up security in the area and appealed for help to rebuild the church.
