Boko Haram Attack Claims The Lives of 19

Boko Haram Conducted one its most deadly attacks in months late Tuesday night. This attack involved four suicide bombers and killed 19 people. This attack took place in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State. This city has seen some of the worst attacks Boko Haram has been able to commit. It also a terrible new trend, that Boko Haram is increasingly using young women and girls to conduct these attacks. All four of the Suicide bombers in these attacks were female.

 

07/13/2017 Nigeria (Vanguard) – Maiduguri—Borno State Police Command, yesterday, confirmed that 19 people were killed and 23 injured in the latest Boko Haram attacks in Maiduguri, late Tuesday night.

The attacks claimed the lives of 12 Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, members and seven civilians, according to the state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Damian Chukwu. Recalled that no fewer than 860 CJTF members have lost their lives to the insurgency in Borno since 2014.

Chukwu, who had since visited the scenes of the attacks, told reporters in Maiduguri yesterday, that four female suicide bombers attacked Moloi, Judumeri and Polo-Sabongari areas of Maiduguri. He said the attackers targeted a CJTF check point and detonated their explosives, killing seven of the task force members.
